WHAT WE DO

Hike, Climb, and mountaineer and spend nights under the stars in the uk national parks in an effort to promote the mental well-being benefits to the UK'S veteran community so that they may use it to assist with their own mental wellbeing.

WHAT DO WE HOPE  OUR TEAM AND ASSOCIATION MEMBERS GAIN FROM THIS.

The main motivation for the team is to get veterans out safely into mountain environments, working in small groups by Inspiring them and delivering a platform they can join us and each other on.

Hiking, climbing, and mountaineering in these amazing locations is really next-level stuff. it utterly blows the mind.

It's totally suited to the former armed forces members

WHY DO WE DO IT?

Recent Research and studies by registered charities that specialize in this area are reporting that more than 100 UK Veterans are taking their own lives every year, these are also predominantly men, while we wish to do this for everyone, it's the men that are taking the brunt of it.

Alongside this, the majority of our own team are dealing with or have dealt with troubles such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression among other problems.  we have proven to ourselves, and the outdoor community itself is also proving every day! that these amazing sports are having a huge positive impact on the well-being of men and women, in and out of the military community.

People are now taking up these sports as a form of self-therapy and it's helping.

WHY MOUNTAINEERING?

Not only does mountaineering work multiple muscle groups and general cardiovascular fitness, it has some key mental health benefits.

Mountaineering involves concentration and thought as well as physical exercise which helps keep you focused, clears your mind of outside worries and also builds your confidence and self-esteem, alleviating the symptoms of some mental health problems.

Operating amongst nature, with beautiful and unique environments, mountaineering can help us cope at work by helping de-stress, can 'heal' our brains by offering fewer stimuli in our day-to-day life, helps us concentrate, makes us more creative, and can help relieve depression.
